As we have decided we are going to do a hybrid genre, whilst contributing are own creative idea’s I would like for us to do some research and find extracts of any films which have interesting horror scenes, or even hilarious jokes, and unique romantic scenes,

Task 1

Anaylse 3 movie trailers of the genre given to us

They must be low budget British films.

o   Mark (Comedy)

o   Amar (Horror)

o   Shahid (Romance)

You should be looking at the use of conventions and iconography. In addition explain a sense of the narrative referring to the theories learnt in class e.g. Todorov.In detail examine the mise en scene, the use of the characters refer to Propp’s terminology. Examine stereotypes also the use of dominant and alternative ideologies. In addition examine the film language e.g. cinematography, lighting, sound, editing and whenever you can employ the use of the key concepts e.g. migrain. Aim to write at minimum 600 words for each, believe me its not that much.
